Eyes-up figure-8 and around-the-body ball-handling series that builds soft hands, quick transfers, and awareness for middle infielders.

Coaching notes
Player weaves the ball in figure-8 patterns around the legs and waist while keeping the eyes up. Progresses to partner flips and short-hop transfers. Designed as a daily warm-up habit.
Objectives
Develop soft, confident hands; speed up the transfer; keep the head and eyes available for the play; build daily consistency.
Coaching cues
Eyes up the whole time; soft hands; continuous movement; quick transfer from glove to throwing hand.
Common errors
Looking down at the ball; tight grip; stopping the ball instead of flowing through the transfer.
Steps
- 1. Figure-8 around the legs with eyes up
- 2. Around the waist and body
- 3. Add short-hop receptions and quick transfers
- 4. Partner flips if available
