Coaching notes

Middle infielders practice the various feed types into second and the subsequent pivot/turn, stressing getting the back foot down first and driving toward first base.

Coaching cues

Lead with the back foot; get the ball out cleanly; explode toward first; stay low through the turn.

Common errors

Leading with the front foot; high center of gravity; rushing the exchange and throwing off-line.
