Summers Method series that forces the athlete to mirror a partner's hips then attack predetermined and reactive cone patterns with proper breakdown and turns.
Objectives
Improve reactive agility, hip control, and the ability to change direction under control.
Coaching cues
Follow the hips not the feet; breakdown high then explode; head leads the body on turns.
Steps
- 1. Partner mirror 10-second bursts
- 2. Three-cone breakdown and turn
- 3. L-drill with inside turn
