Coaching notes

Runner uses a resistance band or reacts to a ball drop to explode out of the primary lead, focusing on the first three steps that determine steal success.

Objectives

Improve first-step explosion, steal timing, and the ability to accelerate cleanly out of the lead.

Coaching cues

Load the back leg; explode on the cue; stay low for the first three steps; drive the arms.

Common errors

False step; upright first step; slow reaction to the cue; loss of balance.
