Machine or fungo fly balls to two outfielders who must call priority, work behind, and communicate the throw base—building game-like decision-making and hierarchy.

Coaching notes
Two outfielders positioned; machine or coach hits routine fly balls. Both read the ball, one takes charge with clear calls, the other works behind and announces the throw destination. Rotate positions frequently.
Objectives
Establish clear priority hierarchy; improve verbal and non-verbal communication; train secondary support and throw decisions under live conditions.
Coaching cues
Call it early and loud; center has priority over corners; work behind the catch; announce the base once possession is clear.
Common errors
Both players going for the ball; late or weak calls; no secondary support; incorrect throw destination.

- 1. Position two outfielders; set machine on routine fly-ball path
- 2. Both read the ball; priority player calls and catches
- 3. Support player works behind and calls the throw base
- 4. Rotate after every few reps
