Coaching notes

Hitters perform drills that force the rear hip to load and rotate rather than slide forward, then transfer the feel into full swings.

Objectives

Eliminate hip slide, improve rotational efficiency, and create better energy transfer into the bat.

Coaching cues

Load the rear hip; rotate rather than slide; keep the front side firm; finish balanced.

Common errors

Early forward slide of the hips; collapsing the front side; loss of posture.
