- Bat / tee
- Duration:
- About 10 min
- Setting:
- Indoor or outdoor

Coaching notes
Hitters perform drills that force the rear hip to load and rotate rather than slide forward, then transfer the feel into full swings.
Objectives
Eliminate hip slide, improve rotational efficiency, and create better energy transfer into the bat.
Coaching cues
Load the rear hip; rotate rather than slide; keep the front side firm; finish balanced.
Common errors
Early forward slide of the hips; collapsing the front side; loss of posture.
Steps
- 1. Isolated rear-hip load and rotate
- 2. Constrained swings with feedback
- 3. Full swings emphasizing rotation over slide
- 4. Video or mirror check
