Coaching notes

Catching Made Simple favorite pre-practice sequence that primes the glove hand, body angles and decision-making before live work.

Objectives

Prime receiving angles, build blocking comfort from multiple stances, and rehearse block/receive decisions.

Coaching cues

Elbow drive; preset angles; hips back; square or angled block as needed; recover with feet.

Common errors

Stabbing, rising hips, slow decision, hands-first recovery.
